Statistics (Umami)

If you accept statistics, we load the open-source tool Umami from our own server in Germany. It counts page views, referring sites, and two events: “Checker run” and “CBAM lookup” (with the result type, not your code). It records browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, and country derived from your IP address. It does not store your IP address and sets no cookie. No third party receives the data. Umami still reads information from your device, so we wait for your consent (§ 25 TDDDG). We do not send checker answers or e-mail addresses to it. Statistics are deleted after 24 months. If you visited before 30 October 2026 and accepted statistics, an old co2log_id cookie may remain; the site deletes it on your next visit.

Legal basis

Functional cookies: § 25 (2) TDDDG (strictly necessary) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Statistics (Umami): your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw consent at any time via “Change cookie settings” without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
